For those of you that need a little more space the CB7 offers 7 full size beds, the optional 7th bed is located under the rear bed and is the same size. This bed simply pulls down if required on a cantilever hinge system.

Chariots Motorhome Hire insurance

INSURANCE – Our hire fee includes vehicle insurance, for British mainland travel only. Payment of the LLI will not limit liability in the case of damage above cab height and roof damage. If any accident occurs which is the fault of the hirer, DRIVE & GO reserves the right not to supply a replacement vehicle if said accident was caused by recklessness or negligence by the hirer. A further damage deposit will be required and additional insurance premium in the sum of £14.25 per day in the event of a replacement being supplied. A damage deposit of £500.00 is required at the start of the hire to cover any damages or expenses against the vehicle not covered by insurance. This deposit must take the form of cash, signed travellers cheques or an authorised credit card slip. This deposit is fully refunded on the return of the vehicle in satisfactory condition. All clients travelling from mainland Britain to Europe must have adequate Personal Accident Insurance at the start of the hire to cover the full period abroad. Evidence of such will be required before the hire can commence.

EUROPEAN RECOVERY INSURANCE (ERI) - ERI is mandatory for all vehicles during the period they will be travelling outside mainland Britain. This provides a bail bond for Spain, Green Card and for the supply of a replacement vehicle or the repatriation to our depot of the passengers in the event of mechanical malfunction or accident. The supply of a replacement vehicle is subject to availability. In case of accident a further ERI premium is required; whoever is responsible for the accident. ERI is charged at the rate of £140.00 for the first 2 weeks and at the rate of £40.00 per week thereafter. ERI is required in mainland Europe, Eire, Northern Ireland and all offshore islands. The rates above only cover countries in the European Community, Scandinavia, Switzerland and Austria. Please advise in good time if you intend to visit Eastern European countries EQUIPMENT or North Africa.

Edinburgh depot

Edinburgh is a serviced non depot location.

This is a drop off only location. All rentals must commence from our Essex depot There will be an extra one way charge of £340.00 added to your rental for this one way trip.

Gatwick Airport depot

London is a serviced non depot location.

All Pick ups from this location must be pre-arranged. We offer a Meet and Greet Service at the Airport - you will be met by our representatative in the Arrivals Hall and transfered to our physical location in Leigh On Sea, Essex to pick up your vehicle.

Please give us your flight details as you are placing your booking or send these through to us after your booking has been confirmed. Distance from the airport to Leigh on Sea is 62 miles, travel time varies. Please allow for this when booking your vehicles as the latest time vehicles must be processed and picked up by 4pm. If your flight is delayed we will adjust your pick up time accordingly.

Transfer fees - There will be a cost of GBP75.00 + VAT for a part of six or GBP80.00 +VAT for groups of 7 plus in addition to your base rental fees. The same applies for drop offs back to Heathrow. The vehicle will be returned to our Leigh On Sea location and you will be transfered to the airport. Drop off processing takes 15 - 20 mins, please also allow for travel time from our depot back to Gatwick airport (62 miles) before your flight departs

Glasgow depot

Glasgow is a serviced non depot location.

This is a drop off only location. All rentals must commence from our Essex depot There will be an extra one way charge of £340.00 added to your rental for this one way trip.

Heathrow Airport depot

London is a serviced non depot location.

All Pick ups from this location must be pre-arranged. We offer a Meet and Greet Service at the Airport - you will be met by our reporesentatative in the Arrivals Hall and transfered to our physical location in Leigh On Sea, Essex to pick up your vehicle.

Please give us your flight details as you are placing your booking or send these through to us after your booking has been confirmed. Distance from the airport to Leigh on Sea is 72 miles, travel time varies. Please allow for this when booking your vehicles as the latest time vehicles must be processed and picked up by 4pm.
If you flight is delayed we will adjust your pick up time accordingly.

Transfer fees - There will be a cost of GBP75.00 + VAT for a part of six or GBP80.00 +VAT for groups of 7 plus in addition to your base rental fees. The same applies for drop offs back to Heathrow. The vehicle will be returned to our Leigh On Sea location and you will be transfered to the airport. Leigh on Sea depot

Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday to Saturday. But all hires commece at 14oohrs ofn the first day and should be returned by 1100hrs on the last day. The latest time that vehicles can be collected is 1600hrs Monday to Saturday

We may be able to let you collect or return vehicles on a Sunday but only with pre-arranged approval. All Sunday pick ups or drop offs will also incur a £75.00 surcharge to cover our extra staffing costs

Please inform us in the Notes section as you are placing a booking if you require Sunday Pick up and / or drop offs and Chariots Motorhomes will respond to this query with your booking confirmation.

Manchester depot

Manchester is a serviced non depot location.

This is a drop off only location. All rentals must commence from our Essex depot There will be an extra one way charge of £180.00 +VAT added to your rental for this one way trip.
